Notice: 5UF VPN Browser Extension v4.2 Now on Chrome Web Store (Edge Version Under Review)
Dear members,
We are pleased to announce that 5UF VPN Super VPN (Chrome extension) v4.2 has passed review and is now available on the Chrome Web Store. The Microsoft Edge build of v4.2 is currently under store review; we will publish a separate notice once it is approved. Thank you for your patience.
We recommend updating to the latest version for clearer onboarding, a smoother sign-in experience, and improved conflict and environment guidance.
What’s new in v4.2:
1. Conflict and environment guidance
Other proxy-related extensions / similar browser tools: added detection and prompts to help you identify “stacked proxy” situations early and reduce connection issues when multiple tools are active.
Using alongside our official desktop VPN client: added warnings when the browser extension may conflict with the 5UF VPN desktop app, to avoid unstable behavior when both may interfere with or compete for network/proxy settings.
2. Redesigned login screen
Updated welcome text and a short product introduction, with a link to our official website for more details. Added the product logo on the login page.
3. Sign-in and account requirements
Sign-in uses the same password as on our website. Before using the extension, please configure your compatibility password in your account on our website. If it is not set, you will be prompted to complete this step first.
4. UI & usability
Displays the extension version on the login page;
Improved helper text and links for updating the compatibility password on our website;
Press Enter in the password field to sign in.
5. Other
Removed the long “environment notice” block from the login page to keep the screen cleaner (you can still find proxy-related guidance when using the extension as needed).
